About Dennis Fisher

Dennis Fisher received Jesus as his Savior at a church meeting in Southern California. He says, “I came under terrible conviction of sin. After receiving Christ, I felt like I had taken a shower on the inside.” Dennis was a professor of evangelism and discipleship at Moody Bible Institute for 8 years. In 1998, he joined Our Daily Bread Ministries, where he served as Senior Research Editor. He is now retired but continues to assist the ministry through writing and reviewing. Lygon Stevens loved to climb mountains with her brother Nick. They were experienced climbers and both had summitted Mt. McKinley (Denali), the highest point in North America. Then, in January 2008, they were swept off a Colorado mountain by an avalanche, injuring Nick and killing twenty-year-old Lygon. When Nick later discovered his sister’s journal in one of her satchels, he was deeply comforted by its contents.
