What happens if someone ignores Jesus and doesn’t follow Him?

Many biblical references show the importance of taking Jesus seriously.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV).

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 NKJV).

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have [Another ancient reading is let us have peace.] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2 NKJV).

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9 NKJV).

(See also Matthew 11:27; John 1:14,17; 10:9; 18:37; and Ephesians 2:18.)

All of these passages speak with one voice: Jesus Messiah was God incarnate, Creator in human form.

So what happens if we ignore Him?

Ignoring Him, we ignore the source of truth, creativity, love, and life (John 15:12-13).

Ignoring Him, we will drift into falsehood, blindness, hatred, and death.

If we ignore Jesus, we miss the point of everything.
