Praying to God for “financial blessing” is a lot like a child asking his father for a new bicycle. There is nothing wrong with asking, as long as the child is willing to accept his father’s response.
God may realize that you aren’t ready for a financial blessing. He may know that you still need to learn lessons of discipline and self-control.
Perhaps it would be best to pray like this:
“Heavenly Father, if it is your will for me at this time, please bless me financially. I have (list them) serious financial concerns, and don’t know how to handle them. Please give me guidance and wisdom in handling my finances.”
